Have you got what it takes to be an Anti Racist Facilitator?
We are looking to increase our bank of facilitators here at Anti Racist Cumbria. We are encouraged and excited by the demand to understand racism and anti-racism and the role played by organisations across our county and we need more people to help us deliver this PAID* work. Currently we are working mostly with Cumbria Constabulary, Education establishments (primary and secondary schools, several of our university departments and with early years) and Businesses (private and public sector).
Then send us either 1 A4 sheet or a 2 minute maximum video recording of you, setting out:
- Your experience (don’t worry if you don’t have lots of facilitation experience – tell us about YOUR lived experience)
- What you can bring to the role
- What you think is the best way to get people and organisations to become anti-racist
We need the above information by Monday 20th June 5pm. Send your information to firstname.lastname@example.org and remember to include your full name, email and contact mobile number.
If we like what we see, you will need to be available on either 14th or 15th July to chat to us in more detail via zoom (exact time to be confirmed).
We have care on hand to support you in your work and to deal with any racial trauma you may experience but it’s important to note that the work is robust. Our ethos is not to lecture but to instigate genuine conversation and encourage and support people to think and work for themselves.
Help us build the UK’s first anti-racist county.
*sessions will comprise of full and half days with payment starting in the region of £100 per session.
