Three Anti Racist Cumbria volunteers stand behind the stand displaying books and merchandise for sale. The volunteers are two Black men and one white woman.

Thank you for your interest in joining Anti Racist Cumbria as an ARCtivist and helping us to make Cumbria the UK’s first actively anti-racist county!

Our volunteers are called ARCtivists to reflect the active nature of volunteering for Anti Racist Cumbria. There are a number of ways you can get involved as an ARCtivist, both in person and remotely ranging from helping out at events and writing articles for our social media to lending a hand with admin and getting involved in community conversations. Without our ARCtivists we would not be the organisation we have become today. We cannot do this work without you!

We want to ensure volunteering experiences with us are valuable, that they work for our ARCtivists and are helpful to meeting our aim of dismantling racism, here in our county and beyond.

Before you sign up, it’s important for us both to understand from the start what to expect from each other and what we are committing to.
